GTDInbox 1.91 (Beta 1 Release)
Disclaimer & Warnings
Still not a public release!
It continues to be heavily in development, so while it won't harm your account or computer, it may be a bumpy ride.
Improvements from 1.90
Increased Stability
- Should be no errors when loading (please report anything you find!)

Additional Provisos
Has been tested with Better Gmail 2; the Folders4Gmail addon interrupts GTDInbox; recommended you disable Folders4Gmail (GTDInbox has this functionality anyway)
A few people are having problems with migrations... you can do migration by changing the prefix names in the 'Options' (see the bottom of the left sidebar). If you can think how to make this easier for first time users, please speak up on the forum!

GTDInbox 1.90 (Super Alpha Early Release)
Disclaimer & Warnings
This is not a public release!
It is still heavily in development, and has only been tested on WinXP, Firefox 2 & Gmail 2 (US language).
Some other notes
It uses a database backend, requiring Firefox 2
As it's a development version, your stats database (GTDInbox only) may be wiped on the next release
I have no idea if it works in Flock, SeaMonkey, Mac or Linux
There's a ton of work 'under the hood'; and it's been a slog to reach this stage; but on the surface it might not seem to do
that much. I'm hoping a really strong foundation has been created; upon which to begin developing some great new features.
Crucially, it has not been tested with Better Gmail - some features may clash!
Install Notes
You are now strongly advised to use the prefix '/', as in P/, C/, S/
On first load, you should see a migration tool to help you move GTD labels over.
Functionality
Management
-
Label Anywhere - Label in thread list, compose and conversation
-
Ignore the 'More Actions' drop down - right click on thread list to do common More Actions
-
Use Sub-Projects - Use '/' to divide them, e.g. P/GTDInbox/Ideas
-
Create Labels on Demand - you can now create new labels while composing, in a conversation and on the thread list (e.g. new sub projects)
-
Pre-Label Messages for Personal Tasks & Team Delegation - you can now label messages in the compose screen; and they will be auto-added to the new thread (on your system, and on any person you send to who uses GTDInbox)
Review
-
Multi Task - Hold down 'Shift' (for a few seconds) while you click on the 'Search' button, or one of the popup labels, or a Contact; and it will load in a new window
-
Contact-Orientated - Right click any contact to be able to see GTD things associated with them (e.g. tasks you're waiting on); or search over them.
-
GTD-Orientated - Click the arrow next to GTD labels to do GTD things associated with that label (and search within that label)
Background
-
Works Exclusively with Gmail 2
-
Much Faster - this is absolutely completely rewritten; with a lot of the better techniques I've picked up over the last few years
-
Stats-Based UI-morphing based on behaviour (example: Recent Projects for a thread is based on the people involved in that thread, the text in the thread, and other labels in the thread; e.g. if I talk to Bob a lot about GTDInbox; then P/GTDInbox will be a suggested Project if Bob is on the new thread).
Next Imminent Release
UI/UX Overhaul
Better looking, position thread-popup below the row, remember Show/Hide status on anything with drop down triangle, fix CSS for labels in conversation.
Methodology
Only one status on a thread; and make Star equate to Next Action (option)
Contact/GTD Review Overhaul
Make the popup menus more relevant to common use-cases & work-flows (while keeping them open enough for fringe uses)
Dashboard
Give overview based control of GTD environment
Localisation
Enable language localisation
